Hot Comments
Production of Voice Comments on Works of Art
The practice of “Hot Comments” is held weekly in a separate Telegram channel (https://t.me/tifloart) and represents the production of voice comments on artworks. No special art education or experience is required.
There are two types of practice:
1. Gathering of participants at online meetings with real-time commentary
2. Recordings of voice commentary in the Telegram channel
Instruction
1. Commentaries should be non-judgemental.
2. Descriptions should focus on what is visible in an image, as accurately as possible, for someone who hasn’t seen the work themselves.
3. Comparative or associative references to the visual aspects of the artwork can be made.
4. Comments are meant for the material/objective component of a work, not the conceptual/abstract one.
In the practice of hot comments, participants develop the ability to observe, direct attention, and integrate visual experiences into verbal form.
